It can be said that H class amplifiers produce higher voltages, which results in stronger power output. To enable this higher power, the voltage of the powering stage is increased (usually about twice as much). This is done by means of a system of primary and secondary battery capacitors. Power switching has a shorter duration than the period of the highest audible frequency (20khz). Only the fastest transistors and specialist systems are able to cope with this rapid change of powering voltage without affecting the outgoing signal. Thanks to this, our output stage has found its usage in ultrasound heat sealing. It is worth noting that the powering voltage is increasing with the cadence of the signal only in that channel and only when necessary. As well as increasing power, such a construction gives better efficiency and reliability. Compared to conventional G class amplifiers, there is only one level of power working rather than two. This eliminates the problems associated with the prediction of dividing the power into levels which can theoretically be 0% on one level and 100% on the other. Thanks to this, H class amplifiers, with one power level, are more reliable than ones with multiple power levels. Above all, H class amplifiers work more effectively in the output stage. Their higher efficiency when compared to A and B class amplifiers means that less heat is radiated in the output stage so less energy is drawn from the power source.
PLX amplifiers have a reversed cycle for the receiving load from the feeder capacitors in one channel compared to another. This is done so that it works in stereo mode, as well as in bridged mode, in a way that gives the impression of being in bridged mode all the time. This gives twice the efficiency of the feeder capacitors (compared to conventional configurations) for signals lower than 100Hz.
Measurements of compatibility with CE standards (electromagnetic compatibility) have proven that the PLX series have a very high resistance to radio interference - radiated and conducted, as well as to high voltage interference.
These amplifiers have intelligent overload protection which also protects against short-circuit. They can operate on a 2ohm overload and remain cool without any problems. The protective system also regulates the heat sink and transformer temperature. Cooling is provided by two 120mm fans with constantly varying speeds. This results in the amplifier always working at its optimal temperature.
